A brochure titled “Advanced Electromechanical Systems for Aerospace- Defense-Government” has been released by Aerotech Inc. The downloadable document details custom-engineered direct-drive pedestals, high-performance direct-drive motion simulators, and single- and multiaxis positioning systems. Along with numerous photographs, it presents the features of the Soloist stand-alone single-axis controller, the Ensemble multiaxis controller, and the A3200 servo and stepper drives, drive racks, consoles and retrofit options. Systems for high-vacuum and cleanroom environments are among those featured. The document notes that the equipment is used for scanning, laser processing, optical pointing, materials testing and manufacturing, and satellite sensor calibration and verification.
