Over 1000 Exhibit at Photonics West 2007
Photonics West 2007's exhibition opened Tuesday with more than 1000 booths, making it North America's largest trade show on optics, lasers, biomedical optics, optoelectronic components and imaging technologies. Representatives from both the local region and the international optics and photonics communities are showcasing a wide variety of products and services.
The following is just a sample of what is being presented inside in the exhibit hall at the San Jose Convention Center this year:
Leikki's compatible optical engine and pump block unit
Spiricon laser beam analyzer
StockerYale's Lasiris PowerLine laser
Photonis's entire streak tubes portfolio
RSoft's new interface to provide extended modeling capabilities for optical devices on the macro and micro scales
Del Mar Photonics' femtosecond photonics products
The world's first megapixel back-illuminated EMCCD camera, from Andor
Novalux and its red 1.5-watt Necsel laser prototypes
Edmund Optics' Tech Spec Mechanics, ChamelEOs illumination and harsh-environment optics
Ibsen's pulse compression-grating product
An assortment of aspheric and IR lenses from LightPath
Double-clad active fibers from Nufern
Promet International's FiBO 300 Interferometer
PerkinElmer Optoelectronics is showcasing its new and enhanced sensor, lighting and vision system products
South Carolina's Upstate Alliance sent a team to Photonics West in cooperation with the Carolinas MicroOptics Triangle. Attendees promote research initiatives being developed at the triangle’s member universities: Clemson University, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Western Carolina University. The group also hopes to identify leads and prospects for the region. The show is the first 2007 initiative for the Upstate Alliance in the advanced materials target market.
