StockerYale Purchases Photonic Products

StockerYale Inc. of Salem, N.H., a provider of photonic-based products, has acquired the privately held Photonic Products Ltd. of Hatfield Broad Oaks, UK, for $9.4 million in cash, stocks and bonds. The acquisition will meet the needs of a larger OEM market. The British supplier of laser diode modules and laser diodes for the industrial, medical and scientific sectors will benefit from StockerYale’s expertise in optics and laser beam shaping to further its product development. The companies are expected to gain a broader customer base through cross-selling opportunities.
