Ametek Purchases Land Instruments

Analytical instrumentation supplier Ametek Inc. of Paoli, Pa., has acquired Land Instruments International Ltd., a specialist in industrial infrared measurement, combustion efficiency and environmental pollutant emissions monitoring. The latter company will join Ametek’s Electronic Instruments Group, which markets monitoring, testing, calibration and display instruments for the process, aerospace and power industries.

Land Instruments International will remain at its headquarters in Dronfield, UK, and will operate under the name Ametek Land as a business unit within the Process & Analytical Instruments Div. The addition of Land Instruments International’s high-temperature monitoring and control systems will expand Ametek’s online process monitoring capabilities, particularly in the area of composition and moisture analysis.
