Halma Acquires Mikropack

Mikropack GmbH of Ostfildern, Germany, has been acquired by UK-based Halma plc and will join Halma’s Ocean Optics Inc. in Dunedin, Fla. The German company manufactures components for analytical spectroscopic systems and will offer a full range of turnkey systems in the field of thin-film metrology. The acquisition will provide a platform for geographical expansion of Ocean Optics’ photonic products. Gerald Nitsch and Dieter Steck will remain as presidents of Mikropack.
