Report Forecasts Boom for Displays, Digital Signs

The Quarterly FPD Public Display Shipment and Forecast Report from DisplaySearch, a display market research company based in Austin, Texas, indicates that worldwide revenues for flat panel displays for commercial markets increased from $302 million to $393 million from the third to the fourth quarter in 2005. The report predicts that the market will reach $3.5 billion by 2010. Researchers attribute the growth to companies’ expectations for dynamic nonprint advertising.
