Networking Groups Merge

The Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF), a nonprofit organization including carriers, component manufacturers and system vendors, and the Network Processing Forum (NPF), an international consortium of networking semiconductor, software and OEM manufacturers, have agreed to a merger. The two forums, based in Fremont, Calif., will merge the NPF’s technical committee work into OIF’s committee. The OIF name will be maintained.
