Dalsa Wins Camera Contracts for Display Inspection

Dalsa Corp. of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, has garnered contracts totaling CAD $1.3 million from Next Instrument Co. Ltd., a Korean supplier of flat panel display inspection equipment. Under terms of the agreement, the Canadian company is supplying its latest-generation electronic cameras, which image at high speeds under low light conditions. The cameras will be integrated into Next Instrument’s inspection system, which searches for defects on flat panel televisions, notebook computers and LCD monitors during the manufacturing process, enabling improved yield and quality control. Dalsa’s cameras were scheduled for delivery in the first quarter.
