Japanese Organization Established for Industrial Imaging
The Japanese Industrial Imaging Association was launched in December at the International Technical Exhibition on Image Technology and Equipment in Yokohama, Japan. The purpose of the international, nonprofit association is to promote standardization of imaging technology for the advancement of the machine vision market.
The organization will work to join and to propose standardization committees and to organize seminars, lectures, international meetings and other events related to the industry. It will publish minutes of its meetings on standardization and will investigate and publish data on technological trends. Membership will consist mainly of system integrators and lens, lighting, camera, software and frame grabber manufacturers.
