View Engineering Acquires Micro-Metric

In California, View Engineering of Simi Valley has purchased Micro-Metric Inc. of San Jose, a supplier of high-magnification, noncontact, critical dimension and coordinate metrology systems for the semiconductor, data storage and MEMS industries. View Engineering provides large-area video and laser-based coordinate measuring systems for process monitoring and control.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen Micro-Metric’s capabilities in its core markets as well as to expand its sales and service offerings worldwide. The company will continue to operate from its existing plant. No changes in management or staffing are planned for either company.
