Universal Display Garners Contract for LEDs
Universal Display Corp. of Ewing, N.J., a developer of organic LED technology for displays, lighting and other optoelectonic products, has been awarded a nine-month, $98,894 Small Business Innovation Research contract by the US Department of Energy. In the Phase I program, titled “High Efficiency White Mesh Phosphorescent OLEDS,” the company will work to increase organic LED efficiency and brightness by using emissive layer architectures that are enabled through its organic vapor phase deposition process.
