Goodrich Supplies Laser Warning Systems

Goodrich Corp. of Charlotte, N.C., will supply initial production quantities of laser threat warning systems for US Army Blackhawk and Chinook helicopters under a contract from Lear Siegler Services Inc. of Fresno, Calif. With first deliveries planned in 2006, Goodrich expects to generate approximately $21 million in sales as a result of the three-year contract. The company’s all-weather AN/AVR-2B system is smaller and weighs less than its earlier technology.
