Lasers the Focus of Welding Event
DEARBORN, Mich. Aug. 19 -- Many new laser application-related activities are planned for the first metal forming, fabricating and welding event co-sponsored by the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International and the American Welding Society. The Fabtech International & AWS Welding Show will take place November 13-16, 2005 at McCormick Place in Chicago and feature nearly 800 exhibits and two technical conferences.
The Fabtech International & AWS Welding Show recognizes the expanding use of lasers in manufacturing, as well as the perceived future growth of the technology. To help promote an increased awareness in lasers, the show sponsors have formed relationships with the Industrial Laser Group, the Laser Institute of America and Industrial Laser Solutions magazine. These groups will work closely at this year's show to educate the industry on lasers and their capabilities.
In addition, the conference has sessions on laser-cutting technology and laser processing, more than 90 laser-related exhibitors and a day of laser technology discussions.
