Amedia, Cambridge Pursue Business in China
EATONTOWN, N.J., Aug. 9 -- Amedia Networks Inc., a provider of switched Ethernet solutions for the ultrabroadband access market, and Cambridge Industries Group Ltd., a Hong Kong- and China-based business development, customer support and engineering firm, have reached an agreement under which Cambridge will represent and distribute Amedia's solutions and provide other related services on behalf of Amedia in China.
As a distributor of Amedia's fiber to the premises (FTTP) QoStream product family within China, Cambridge Industries assist with local regulatory compliance issues, supply localized product information and documentation and provide engineering services in support of customer needs.
On June 20, China's Tai Long Communication contracted with Amedia to purchase QoStream. The contract between Amedia and Tai Long was the result of a continuing partnership between Amedia, Hode Technologies and Tsinghua University. This agreement with Cambridge Industries is expected to further assist Amedia in pursuing and supporting China-based prospects.
