Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has selected
L-3 Communications' Security and Detection Systems subsidiary to supply systems to automatically screen checked baggage for explosives at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). This repeat order includes advanced technology (AT) and US Transportation Security Administration (TSA)-certified computer tomography (CT) systems. L-3 was also recently selected to supply the airport with more than 30 PX-M checkpoint x-ray screening systems.

Accurate MachineWorks, of Newport Beach, Calif., to deliver expanded automation offerings to the rapid prototyping, milling and material-removal markets. Accurate MachineWorks provides robotic automation to the machining, aerospace and military industrial markets; it specializes in five-axis milling machines and reverse engineering solutions. Kuka Robotics is the Clinton Township, Mich., subsidiary of Kuka Roboter GmbH, of Augsburg, Germany.
