Sabeus Photonics, a Calabasas, Calif.-based developer of fiber optic components and subsystems for telecommunications, acoustic sensing and surveillance applications, has appointed
Mark Demos as general manager, Sabeus Optical Components, and
Michael Hochmeister as vice president of operations. Demos was formerly vice president of marketing and interim CEO at Oluma Inc. and was previously vice president of sales for laser manufacturer Alfalight and a senior associate with ARCH Venture Partners, where he was general manager of Xtera Communications. Hochmeister formerly held management positions at Raytheon, assigned to F-15 Eagle and AC-130 Gunship radar systems, and previously held engineering and management positions at Lexmark International, Amoco Laser Co. (now a division of Scientific Atlanta) and Litton Laser Systems. Sabeus also announced this week that it has signed the
UR Group, a European sales organization for electronic system and subsystem designers and manufacturers, as its exclusive distributor in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
