. . . Radiant Imaging and
Nichia Corp. have announced a partnership to support designers of LED-based lighting systems for applications such as signage, display backlights, automotive and aviation instrument panels and traffic lights. Radiant Imaging will fully characterize the output of its InGaAs LED products (including SMD-type power LED and Top View series) by generating source models created with Radiant's source imaging goniometer system. Nichia will also purchase a number of ProSource software licenses from Radiant, along with the rights to resell or redistribute them. Radiant Source models fully characterize a light source's angular and spatial luminance characteristics. ProSource software allows data analysis and ray generation from Radiant Source model data files and enables their use with most major illumination design software packages.

Jane P. Chappell to vice president of the Strategic Imaging Systems product line for its Intelligence and Information Systems business. Chappell, a 22-year veteran of Raytheon, most recently led business development for Strategic Imaging Systems.

Space Imaging, a Denver provider of satellite imaging technology, including the Ikonos satellite. Jones, who previously held management positions at Space Imaging, was formerly the director of DigitalGlobe's National Information Solution Center.
