Elgar Electronics Corp., a San Diego maker of programmable power supplies, received a supplier quality award from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Elgar provided a solar array simulator and a battery string simulator as a power subsystem for the Mars Rovers during testing and has supported other NASA missions. . . . Three Five Systems Inc., a Tempe, Ariz.-based provider of electronics manufacturing services to original equipment manufacturers, announced Thursday that its interim CFO, James E. Jurgens, has resigned for health reasons, effective June 6, after which he will serve as a consultant to the company. TFS also said it has retained Bridge Associates LLC to assist with restructuring its operations. Carl H. Young III, a managing director and founding member of Bridge Associates, will be chief restructuring officer. . . . Stephen David was appointed to the strategic marketing team of Nonlinear Dynamics, a UK provider of analysis and data mining tools for the life sciences industry. He joins Nonlinear from from GE Healthcare, formerly Amersham Biosciences, where he was an applications specialist and part of a team that designed GE Healthcare's DeCyder 2-D image analysis product. . . . UDT Sensors Inc., a Hawthorne, Calif., supplier of optoelectronic products for commercial and military/aerospace markets, has announced a strategic product partnership with Heimann Sensors GmbH. UDT Sensors will offer Heimann Sensors' infrared thermopile and pyroelectric detectors and modules for infrared measurement applications and will be the exclusive representative in North America for Heimann Sensors' thermopiles for contact-less temperature and gas concentration measurement applications.
