NanoOpto Raises Additional $1 Million
SOMERSET, N.J., April 12 -- NanoOpto Corp., a developer of nanofabrication technology and design methods for optical components and systems, announced today that Itochu Corp. has invested $1 million in its Series C funding round, in addition to $12 million in Series C round venture financing recently led by private growth-equity investor First Analysis. Total financing of NanoOpto to date is $43.3 million.
NanoOpto said its optical devices provide both discrete and integrated functionality and bring value to diverse market applications in digital imaging, optical drives, projection display and communications. NanoOpto recently announced several products: infrared cutoff filters for digital imaging, achromatic wave plates for optical drives and optical isolators for data communications and telecommunications.
