JAI Obtains Share of Technology Company

A supplier of industrial vision CCD/CMOS cameras, JAI A/S of Copenhagen, Denmark, has acquired a 35 percent share of Micro Vision Co. Ltd. of the Niigata prefecture of Japan. Besides developing software and hardware for high-speed digital serial transmission systems, image processing and motor control, Micro Vision specializes in DSP and FPGA programming, writing device drivers, and designing analog and digital circuits. The Japanese company will continue to operate independently while under the supervision of JAI's local organization.
