Axsys Technologies Procures Telic Optics

Axsys Technologies Inc. of Rocky Hill, Conn., a supplier of precision optomechanical components and assemblies for the aerospace, defense and commercial markets, has purchased the stock of Telic Optics Inc. of North Billerica, Mass. With the benefit of Telic's capabilities in infrared optics, Axsys expects to increase its product offerings and strengthen its position in metal mirrors. Telic's ground- and sea-based programs will complement Axsys' focus on air- and space-based projects, and the companies' combined optomechanical integration capabilities will enable Axsys to expand its technical offerings to prime contractors who wish to outsource optics-based assemblies.
