Rohwedder Pematech, a Radolfzell, Germany-based producer of automated test lines, handling modules and depanelizers for the electronics industry, will distribute Adept Technology Inc.'s CHADIQ odd-form electronic components assembly platforms in Europe. Adept, of Livermore, Calif., makes robots, linear mechanisms, motion control, machine vision and automation software products for small parts assembly, material handling, packaging and precision alignment applications. . . . Light-emitting-diode (LED) packaging manufacturer LEDtronics has launched a surplus LED Web site at www.SurplusLED.com . . . Amersham, a London-based medical diagnostics company, announced it has licensed a class of molecules from the University of Pittsburgh that bind to amyloid plaque in the brain, which is key to tracking the progression of Alzheimer's disease. Amersham is evaluating agents that can be used with positron emission tomography, a nuclear medicine imaging technology that provides diagnostic information at the molecular level, to help diagnose the disease and lead to treatments.
