Mark Taylor, PhD, has been named product manager for
Accent Optical Technologies, a supplier of optoelectronics and silicon semiconductor process control systems. Buczkowski is based at Accent's recently expanded Advanced Technology Center in Bend, Ore., and Taylor will work from the company's manufacturing headquarters in York, England.

Gov. George E. Pataki as the 2003 recipient of its Robert Noyce Award, to be presented at its annual forecast and award dinner tomorrow at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, Calif. Gov. Pataki, who will deliver the keynote address, will be cited for his support of semiconductor research, development and commercialization, particularly initiatives such as the Center of Excellence in Nanoelectronics at the University of Albany, State University of New York.
