Companies Form Manufacturing and Distribution Alliance

NP Photonics of Tucson, Ariz., and Chromux Technologies Inc. of Oxnard, Calif., have formed a partnership in which Chromux will be the exclusive manufacturer of NP Photonics' compliant MEMS products and their distributor in China and South Korea. The devices include tunable filters, optical spectrum analyzer engines and optical performance monitoring modules. NP Photonics, which will retain the rights to the products and sell them under its brand name, will continue to make its Scorpion fiber lasers and amplifiers and amplified spontaneous emission sources and to maintain its distribution channels in Japan, India, Europe and the US.
