Telops and ficonTec Form Alliance

Under a partnership arrangement, ficonTec GmbH of Bremen, Germany, will provide optronic test system specialist Telops Inc. of Saint-Augustin, Quebec, Canada, with expertise in automated facet and surface inspection for diode laser bars. The alliance will help Telops improve its test and measurement product line and expand into new markets, while ficonTec will benefit from Telops' proficiency in the areas of photonic components testing, burn-in and characterization. FiconTec, which produces customized automated and semiautomated modular systems for microassembly and test and measurement applications for production, was selected for its experience in motion control, precision mechanics and high-resolution machine vision.
