Multiplex Offers Semiconductor Foundry Services

Multiplex Inc., a manufacturer of optoelectronic components and integrated subsystems that is based in South Plainfield, N.J., now provides custom compound semiconductor foundry services. Having completed a new 10,000-sq-ft, class 1000/10,000 cleanroom facility, it offers services for III-V semiconductor epitaxial growth, materials characterization, processing, and device design, testing, qualification and failure mode analysis. The company maintains a metallorganic chemical vapor deposition epitaxy platform that includes Aixtron 2000 and 2400 multiwafer reactors. Among its epitaxial services are 980-, 1310- and 1550-nm laser platforms and other custom structures, and PIN and avalanche photodiode wafers for 10- and 2.5-Gb/s applications.
