PCO Computer Optics Acquires Cooke

To strengthen its presence in North America and to improve its customer service internationally, scientific camera developer PCO Computer Optics GmbH of Kelheim, Germany, has purchased The Cooke Corp. of Auburn Hills, Mich. With new 14-bit camera systems, the companies will continue to supply existing markets and growing market areas such as high-throughput screening, semiconductor metrology and high-resolution microscopy. Their software support is expected to include most operating systems. Cooke will retain its key management, sales and service personnel.
