ILX Lightwave Wins Testing Contract

Under a test service contract with ABB Bomem of Quebec City, ILX Lightwave Corp. of Bozeman, Mont., will perform parametric and optical characterization on approximately 200 free-space, TO-can laser diodes to determine if they are suitable for satellite applications. The program will consist of full spectral, spatial and LIV characterization based on NIST-traceable optical power measurement. The test bench will include ILX's LPA-9080 laser parameter analyzer, LDC-3714 laser diode controller and other off-the-shelf instruments.
