Physik Instrumente Buys Electronics Firm

Nanopositioning equipment manufacturer Physik Instrumente of Karlsruhe, has secured GSG Electronics GmbH of Stephanskirchen, both in Germany, to expand its knowledge base, manufacturing capabilities and share of the US market for custom nanopositioning controllers and systems.

A specialist in high-voltage control electronics and power supplies for high-end piezo-nanopositioning systems, GSG has provided custom power supplies for space missions such as the ROSAT x-ray satellites.
