The conference is sponsored by the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the European Laser Association and the British Medical Laser Association.
The organizers said, "A large number of abstracts have already been submitted from around the world that will ensure an excellent, world-class meeting. However, in this time of global uncertainty, a significant number of people may be waiting before committing themselves to travel or presentations. The extended deadline respects that uncertainty."
Keynote speakers will be R. Rox Anderson of Harvard/Wellman Laboratories, Ton VanLeeuwen of the University of Amsterdam and David Delpy of University College London.
The schedule will include workshops and courses on topics such as hair removal by laser and intense pulsed light sources, laser resurfacing and skin photorejuvenation, laser safety, low-level laser therapy, nursing practice, photodynamic therapy and management of vascular lesions (including leg veins). Scientific sessions will include basic science and optical diagnostics, dentistry, dermatology, low-level light therapy, nursing, oncology and photodynamic therapy, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, surgery and associated subspecialties, with an emphasis on advances that are close to clinical application or commercial development.
The meeting will also include a trade exhibition, welcome reception, accompanying guest program and pre- and post-conference tours for those who wish to extend their stay in Scotland.
