NJNC said it uses corporate, academic and government participation to develop cost-effective nanotechnology devices for a variety of industries, including the pharmaceutical, biomedical, electronic materials, optical/photonics, defense/aerospace, energy, industrial and semiconductor markets.
The company is based at the New Jersey Nanofabrication Laboratory, a former Bell Labs facility in Murray Hill. It has received $2 million in funding from the state of New Jersey for fiscal year 2003.
Larry Thompson, NJNC's CEO, said six projects are underway from private companies working to bring nanotech-based products to market.
