Elliot Scientific Obtains Intellectual Property

Elliot Scientific Ltd. of Harpenden, UK, has purchased all of the issued share capital of Martock Design Ltd. of Martock, UK. For several years, Elliot has been a distributor for the acquired company and, since 1998, has manufactured all of its products under an exclusive agreement. The acquisition of Martok, which has patented devices such as the X-Y-Z flexure stage and 20-nm-resolution mechanical adjusters, has given Elliot ownership of the intellectual property rights for the devices it manufactures, including fiber positioning, waveguide manipulation, automated fiber alignment and OEM products.
