L-3 Communications Awarded Cockpit Display Contract

NEW YORK, March 13 -- L-3 Communications announced that its Display Systems Div. has been awarded a $7 million contract from The Boeing Co. Integrated Defense Systems Div. to provide cockpit displays for F-15K Eagle fighter aircraft.

Under the terms of the contract, L-3 will design, qualify and manufacture high-resolution, high-brightness, NVG-compatible, 4"x4" active matrix flat panel up-front control (FPUFC) displays. The FPUFC controls the functions of the F-15K Eagle's communication, radio and inertial navigation, identification and associated equipment.
