James King has joined Alliance Imaging Inc. as regional vice president. He is based in Dallas and is responsible for managing the sales and operations of diagnostic imaging services in the company's western region, which includes Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. Alliance Imaging supplies magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and positron emission tomography services to hospitals, universities and physicians' offices. . . . Cymer Inc., a supplier of excimer light sources used in semiconductor manufacturing, announced it is expanding its worldwide service and support capabilities by establishing an office in Shanghai. CEO Bob Akins, senior executives and government officials presided over a grand opening ceremony Tuesday at the new facility. The company also announced that Tsunehisa Yamashita was named president of Cymer Japan Inc. . . . Roman Janer was appointed CTO of Fischer Imaging Corp., a developer of digital mammography and medical imaging systems. He was previously vice president of technology for Hologic Inc.
