Three-Five Systems Inc. said its Brillian LCoS SVGA microdisplay has been selected for a head-mounted display developed by
Shimadzu, a Japanese aerospace company.
. . . Martin Schwartz, president and CEO of
Therma-Wave Inc., a developer of metrology systems used in the manufacture of semiconductors, is retiring from the company.
Boris Lipkin has been appointed to replace him, effective immediately.
. . . Robotic Vision Systems Inc. (RVSI) said it has started the final stage of consolidating its Semiconductor Equipment Group's manufacturing, operations and service and that activities for all Semiconductor Equipment Group product lines will now be located at RVSI's Hauppauge, N.Y. facility. After that phase is complete, RVSI will close its facilities in Tucson, Ariz., and New Berlin, Wisc.
