UK Photonic Companies Form National Network

A stronger UK network of photonics and optoelectronics companies is the mission of the newly established Photonics Cluster, which was formed by the merger of the Midlands Photonics Cluster based near Birmingham, UK, and the UK Laser and Electro-Optics Association.

The Midlands Cluster was originally formed as a focal point for companies in that area, while the new organization expects to expand by involving other British laser manufacturers, distributors and relevant academic institutions, as well as the defense, automotive, aerospace and health care sectors.
