Palomar Technologies Acquires Nanopositioning Products

Palomar Technologies Inc., based in Vista, Calif., has acquired the fiber automation division of Axsys Technologies Inc. of Santa Barbara, Calif. Renamed Palomar Photonics Automation, the organization will continue its operations in Pittsburgh as a wholly owned subsidiary of Palomar Technologies. Adding to its micro- and optoelectronic interconnect capabilities, the purchase includes patents and intellectual property related to nanopositioning and fiber alignment.
