Company to Enhance Systems for Processing Cables

Flexon AG in Horgen, Switzerland, is now part of Schleuniger, based in Thun, Switzerland. The subsidiary, renamed Schleuniger Flexon AG, will develop and produce fully and semiautomatic systems for processing cable types such as plastic optical fiber and thin, flat foil, targeted for the automotive industry. Automobile manufacturers are increasingly using such cables to accommodate more electronics, and to reduce the weight and space of cables in the vehicles. The company's products will be sold and serviced mainly through the Schleuniger organization.
