Joseph R. Stetter was appointed vice president of engineering and Darin Olson was hired as manager of process engineering by Nanomix, a nanotechnology product developer.. . .Timothy Day, co-founder and CTO of New Focus Inc., a tunable laser supplier, has been selected to receive the annual Engineering Achievement Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Lasers and Electro-Optics Society (IEEE/LEOS), for his contributions to the development and commercialization of external cavity tunable diode lasers for telecommunications. The award will presented Nov. 11 at LEOS 2002 in Glasgow, Scotland.
