AIXTRON has installed an AIX 2400 MOCVD System at Seiko Epson Corp. for the production of GaInAsN materials to advance its research into long-wavelength lasers. . . . Opto Speed, a developer and manufacturer optoelectronic modules for communications, test and measurement, medical and defense markets, announced it has a regional distribution agreement with EL-GEV Electronics Ltd., an Israeli distributor of electronic and optoelectronic components and subassemblies, for Opto Speed's family of high-speed lasers, photodetectors, monolithically integrated PIN/TIA/postamp optical front-ends, semiconductor optical amplifiers and superluminescent light-emitting diodes.
