Salira Begins China Operations

Salira Optical Network Systems Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., expanded its sales and marketing presence in China with the creation of Salira China, a wholly owned foreign enterprise in Shanghai province, and with sales and marketing offices in Beijing. Company founder Wei Gao was appointed president of the enterprise, which will perform specific product development activities, encompassing feature enhancements, board design, software coding and some manufacturing operations.
