Navitar Inc.'s Buhl Optical LCD Lens Div. has completed its move from Pittsburgh, Pa., to Rochester, N.Y. All Buhl manufacturing, sales and accounting operations have been consolidated with those of Navitar. Buhl LCD lens products are now available under the Navitar/Buhl label. . . . Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates Inc. has been issued US Patent 6,403,972 for "Methods and Apparatus for Alignment of Ion Beam Systems Using Beam Current Sensors." The technology uses beam current sensors throughout the beamline for alignment and precalibration of the beam optics.
