Oak, EDOM Sign Chinese Distribution Pact

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 19 -- Oak Technology Inc. has signed a distribution agreement with EDOM Technology for Oak's optical storage products, targeting CD-RW and recordable DVD for the PC and consumer electronics markets in Taiwan and China. The partnership will also focus on the development and deployment of related technologies and standards, such as introducing a new generation of DVD-recordable and combination CD-R/RW+DVD semiconductor-based solutions.
