Irvine Sensors to Develop Army Computer Image-Processing Module
COSTA MESA, Calif., May 31 -- Irvine Sensors Corp. has received a $959,000 follow-on contract to previous Small-Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contracts related to its proprietary Silicon Brain stacked-chip packaging technology and Silicon Neuron image processing architecture.
The goal of the new contract, funded by the Missile Defense Agency and administered by the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command, is to integrate these technologies to develop an ultrahigh-speed image-processing module compatible with commercially available computers.
