DALSA Corp. and Photonfocus AG announced they have a cooperative agreement for worldwide commercialization of the LINLOG wide dynamic range CMOS Image Sensor technology in cameras for industrial machine vision and other applications. Typical applications include welding, laser metrology, traffic monitoring and other uses with wide-ranging illumination levels. . . . Essex Corp announced it has received three government contract modifications totaling $1.9 million. Two are from Department of Defense customers: a Small-Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase II contract modification for $400,000 and a new one-year, $1.3 million contract, incrementally funded at $458,000, for continuing application of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) processing techniques. It also received and finished a Phase II SBIR option for $180,000 from the Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River Station, for further development and upgrade of an ImSyn optoelectronic processor configured for SAR image processing.
