Meade Instruments Supplies Components for Kodak Scientific Imaging System
IRVINE, Calif., April 17 -- Meade Instruments Corp. announced it is supplying key electronic and optical components for use in a digital imaging system designed and manufactured for the life sciences research market by Eastman Kodak Company's Scientific Imaging Systems group.
Introduced in November 2001, the Image Station 1000 multipurpose bench-top imaging system incorporates a cooled Kodak mega-pixel CCD sensor and proprietary electronics that provide low-noise images for a variety of biological applications. It is one of a series of high-performance bench-top imaging systems developed by Kodak for use in scientific research.
