Entrepreneurs vs. Managers: Time Spent Differently
Business managers and entrepreneurs may have a lot of similar responsibilities, but they spend their time differently, according to a survey released by
St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. Managers tend to spend very little time on customer service, such as handling complaints.
They also spend little time on activities such as stocking shelves, cleaning and filing. These tasks sometimes fill more than a third of an entrepreneur's day.
Conversely, managers spend twice as much time networking than do the more self-reliant entrepreneurs.
