QED Technologies MRF Finishing Machine Expands Capabilities of Coastal Optical

Installation of a QED Technologies Q22-X MRF Finishing machine has expanded manufacturing capabilities at Coastal Optical Systems, Inc.

"The QED technology improves our ability to both deliver prototype precision systems in a timely manner and cost effectively deliver multiple copies of these complex systems" said Jay Kumler, President of Coastal Optical. "Immediately this deterministic manufacturing technology has improved our throughput of aspheric elements. The technology eliminates a time and cost variability which traditionally has been unavoidable," added Kumler.
