In-fiber optic components and subsystems vendor Southampton Photonics (Los Gatos, Calif.) has promoted Steve Norman to vice president, operations and engineering, in recognition of his accomplishments in bringing the company's products from the laboratory into production and for his contribution to its new specialty fiber manufacturing facility, near Southampton, UK. The plant will produce specialty fibers for the company's optical components and subsystems.
