Air Force to Use Fiber Optic-Based Security System

HANOVER, Md., Feb. 13 -- Fiber SenSys, a CompuDyne Attack Protection company, was awarded a contract to provide its fiber optic-based sensor product to TRW, a prime contractor under the US Air Force tactical automated sensor system program. The order is for Fiber SenSys' FD 205 product, which will provide intrusion detection sensors for use on concertina wire and chain link fencing applications. The contract is for more than $1.7 million and will be installed in Southwest Asia.
